Why we are building it
Families can often find a provider name through Google Maps or a general directory. The harder questions are whether the clinician speaks the family’s language, supports the relevant age group, travels to the suburb and is currently accepting clients.
The first pilot covers speech pathology, occupational therapy and psychology.
What happens next
Practices can submit a free profile and confirm their information. We will replace the demonstration profiles after real providers have completed the review.
Independence
Payment will not change a provider’s verification status. If paid placement is introduced later, it will be labelled and kept separate from the information used by search filters.
